Our story
Not Just Family……..Best Buds
Sticky Mantis is a family owned and operated cannabis farm. We jumped right in in 2014 when things were just getting started and it has been an incredible adventure.
Derek Wolf, our amazing head grower, was the man that started it all. He convinced his parents and uncle to invest in his dream, talked his sister into running the business end of things so he could hide out in the fields, and brought in a cousin with a whole bunch of plant knowledge and growing expertise to round everything out.
There have been a lot of ups and downs but in the last decade of legal cannabis but we have seen it all and are still here to tell the story!
Our Process
Quality cannabis can be grown without using harsh chemicals and pesticides. Instead we release ladybugs, nematodes, and our favorite, the praying mantis, to manage the most common cannabis pests. Our growers brew their own teas and carefully choose the best fertilizers and additives. By using the light deprivation technique our plants mature and can be harvested before issues like bud rot and powdery mildew can become a problem. Every plant we have is babied from the day it’s cloned until the day it’s harvested, ensuring a quality harvest every year. Once harvested our plants are carefully cured, stored and evenutally hand trimmed and lovingly packaged for our customers to enjoy.
